PERKINS 4236 ENGINE MASSEY FERGUSON JCB INTERNATIONAL MARINE GENERATOR TRACTOR !

This is a Perkins 4.236 direct injection diesel engine. This engine is a tractor type of application as it has the back plate and front mountings cast into the block and sump allowing it to fit directly into tractors such as Massey Ferguson , JCB 3CX , International 475 and combine harvesters etc to name but a few. This 4.236 was removed from a machine a number of years ago and purchased in an unknown condition. It has been kept as a spare with a mind to giving it a full rebuild and fitting to a JCB or similar. Rebuild kits from companies such as Sparex etc are very cheap for these engines and would be a simple and well worth while job. If you wished to fit this into a Massey or JCB etc the conversion plate and flywheel etc can simply be unbolted and your own parts substituted. There is nothing to prevent you using this engine to drive a generator , irrigation pump or boat etc You can bolt up different back plates and flywheels to the block and make it suit your needs. An example of this is fitted to this engine . Comes complete with 12 volt starter motor . Currently a non runner but it turns over freely and ready for rebuilding or ideal export unit. It can be strapped to a pallet ready for shipping.
